In the continued spirit of doing whatever the fuck I want when it comes to music, here is an album of spontaneous instrumentals I wrote and released in fall 2023 under the moniker of "high plains home recordings"

(1) spontaneously written
(2) new ideas, or
(3) revisited old ideas, and/or
(4) bursts of feeling, or
(5) sonic experiments

recorded on a tascam dp03sd digital 8-track using mostly the built-in microphones and no editing.

despite the low fidelity and/or imperfections in musicianship and/or the first draftness of the lyrics--i would rather share these sounds with the world *now* than wait for some uncertain future when I turn them into "proper" recordings. life is short and these songs don't want to wait.

I am releasing it now as a fuguers cove album because I have more of an audience as "fuguers cove" and because the monikers are superficial distinctions anyway.

My music projects are all diy bedroom projects coming from the same head, hands and heart.

In terms of genre, & enspirited by the late george winston, I'm calling this "instrumental bedroom folk."

The only change from the "sunday sessions" songs I put out as high plains home recordings is that I've remastered the songs, removed the cover of ween's ocean man, and changed the name of the album to "don't think (instrumentals)."
